Stampin' Sunday!

Some Vintage Vogue

I have been neglecting my Stampin' Up stamps of late, and since I am hosting an SU party for my bestie next month, I thought it was about time I got them out again. Don't get me wrong, I love my SU stuff, the papers, inks and embellies have been getting a good showing on my cards, but the stamps have been hidden away in a draw and forgotten about.

Today I am previewing two SU ONLY cards, one using an older set and the other (above) using my SU Vintage Vogue set for the first time.

On my Vintage Vogue card I have used Old Olive card stock with the Cottage Wall designer paper. On the stamps I have used my Elegant Eggplant and Always Artichoke inks.

Echoes of Kindness

This next card uses one of my older SU sets 'Echoes of Kindness'. I have again used some old olive for the card stock and layered it with some Rose Red designer series paper and a little Baja Breeze. The rose has been coloured with Ruby Red and Old Olive SU markers and the sentiment is from my SU 'Whimsical Words' set.

If you are in Western Australia and you are interested in Stampin Up please visit Kirsty's SU page and have a look around, she would be very happy to host a Stampin' Up party for you and your friends too.

It's been awhile!

Finding my MOJO!

It's been awhile, I know, after looking after a house full of unwell children, including my DH, over the past two weeks, I thought I had lost my stamping MOJO! It's really hard to get any inspiration surrounded by sniffling noses, coughs and an endless trail of used Kleenex!!!

But thankfully, they all seem to be well over their cold's and I had some time to myself after work to sit down and work on a long awaited card, using the latest FFF sketch challenge from the Splendid Stamping blog for some much needed inspiration.

So here she is, my new HG Classy digi is all her splendor, she is coloured with my copics and mounted on some SU card stock and designer papers from Kaisers new 'Hey Birdie' collection. I have also used some of Kaisers classical lace and pearls from the 'Devonshire' range, which is very fitting for a Classy Gal like her!

I also had some other very exciting news when I got home from work today, my package from TGF had finally arrived with my new ROLL CALL Sprouts snuggled inside!

What a way to kick-start my inspiration straight into top gear!!!

Happy Mother's Day and a Challenge

Happy Mother's Day and a Challenge

Today is already Sunday here and I was woken up by my beautiful two boys with some hugs and some presents. I was totally spoilt with chocolates, new slippers, body cream and other various little gifts including some embellies for my growing stash!

Then I was brought breakfast in bed, including my morning coffee, bacon, eggs, tomato and toast. I love Mother's Day!

This is the perfect day to upload my Mother's Day card that I made for my own Dear Mum, so that she did not see it ahead of time, it is also the perfect card to upload for the latest WCW Challenge at the Club Anya blog; May Flowers.

Again I have used Sassenach Anya, because I am totally in love with her classic image, she is of course coloured with my copics to match the card stock and DP from Stampin' Up. I have layered used my Deckled Edge Ovals from Spellbinders and added some interest on the DP edges with the Lace Edge punch from Fiskars. The card is finished with lots of flowers of course from my Kaiser stash and I have just added some pearls for an extra little touch.

Happy Mother's Day Mum!!!

Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home

I made this card for some very good friends of ours who have recently just moved into their new home. I decided to put a fun twist into this card making them the Prince and Princess of their new castle.

I used Prince Ian and Sassenach Anya (my new fav) and coloured them with copics to match my DF's Brad and Louise. The designer paper is 'Dreamland' by Sandylion and which I picked up as soon as I saw the gorgeous 'Disneyesque' castle. I finished the card with my own sentiment, some Kaiser rhinestones and Kaiser flowers.

We had a great day yesterday at their housewarming BBQ and the card went down a treat.

Handy Dad's Birthday

Happy Birthday Dad!

Tomorrow marks my Dear Dad's 78th Birthday and this is the card I have made for this special occasion. I have used the new Handy Ian digi from TGF as he represents the memories I have of Dad as we were growing up.

Dad was not a handyman by trade but he was certainly handy around the house and has always had a unique way of fixing things. Still today when I visit him I will notice one of his special contraptions around his unit.

Dad has been known to make his own tap washers from drilled out coins, plastic bottle lids to cover a light switch which really does not need to be turned on; that's to save power! and other various ways to recycle everyday items into useful objects.

I have coloured Ian with my copics and given him grey hair, to be honest due to the age difference between my Mum and Dad I can only ever remember him with grey hair!

I am really happy with the way this card has turned out and I hope Dad just loves it too...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Spring into Spring for Mother's Day

Spring-time fun...

It is raining here in Perth, as it is autumn in Australia not spring, but at least I can imagine that the sun is still shining outside!

I made this card for a colleague of mine who requested one for her Mum for Mother's Day which is next weekend. It also suits the latest WCW challenge over at Club Anya so I have entered it for the 'Spring in to WCW' challenge.

I used Sassenach Anya and coloured her with my copics, she is layered on some of the gorgeous new designer papers from Stampin Up's Autumn/Winter 2010 mini. I have used my nesties for the tiny butterflies and my Fiskars Lace Edge punch. The sentiment is from SU's Wagon Full Of Fun set.

I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow, with a card to finish for my Dad's birthday, two more for Mother's Day plus a couple of loads of washing..... wish me luck!
