Another First!

Lets do an ATC!

Two posts in one day, who was a busy girl yesterday??  To be honest its been to darn hot to do anything here in Perth this week and it feels lovely to sit in my craft room under the air-conditioning vent to cool down which made it a perfect opportunity to visit my favorite blogs for some inspiration!

Melissa at Meljens Designs have a challenge to create an ATC card, an ATC card or Artist Trading Card, is a miniature piece of art that showcases your style, and they can be traded around the world between artists. I had to look this up!

This was a fun card to make, its sooo cute and what a perfect size to use some of my scraps!

Prince Charming

This weeks challenge at Tiddly Inks was to make a Shaker card following the tutorial supplied here.  I have not made very many shaker cards and I am still perfecting this type of card but I was happy to give it another go.  Its still not perfect but I am happy with the results.

I used my Tiddly Inks; Froggie Thoughts set or this card, inside the shaker are some heart and crown punchies along with a little glitter for some royal sparkle.

Material Used; Tiidly Inks digi; Froggy Thoughts, Copic Caio markers, SU Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip & Creamy Caramel, DP from Bo Bunnys Crazy Love Collection, Glitter, Rhinestones, Pearl and brad from my stash pile.

Challenges Entered;

Feeling Purple...

For Tiddly Inks Latest Challenge...

After browsing some of my favorite blogs this morning I was inspired by Tiddly Inks latest challenge; A Monochromatic Card.  This would be my first card of this kind and I do hope it was okay for her to have brown hair even though I chose a purple scheme!

This card will be for my Mum's birthday card, she is very special to us, living far away but always available for a chat whenever I pick up the phone.  We are all looking forward to her visit later in the year, especially the grand kids!

Material Used; Tiddly Inks Poppy digi stamp, Copic Caio markers, SU Rich Razzleberry card stock, Core-dinations Raspberry Cordial card stock, Kaiser Craft Lilac Avenue DP, Kaiser Craft ribbon and handmade flower embellishment.

Challenges Entered;

Simon Says Stamp; Make Your Own  Embellishment (flower)
Stamptacular Sunday; SOS! Someone Special (that would be my Mum)

Happy Valentine's

A Cheeky Valentine's

This is the card I made this year for my DH, my Valentine, with the stamp set I especially ordered for this very occasion from The Greeting Farm.  I decided on the Cheeky Angel over the Cheeky Devil for this special card.

I also wanted to incorporate a shaker into the design by using one of Stampin Up's Sweet Treat Cups, inside the shaker are some iny hearts that I stamped with the heart from my Stampin Up Something Sweet set, I matched the ink to the paper and then punched them out.

Materials used; TGF Naughty or Nice set, Stampin Up Something Sweet set, Copic Caio Markers, glitter, Stampin Up Chocolate Chip, Melon Mambo & Ballet Blue, DP from Bo Bunnys Crazy Love Collection, Stampin Up Sweet Treat Cup, Brads and ribbon from my stash pile.

Challenges entered;
Splendid Stamping; Color My Happy for FFF (my extra color is chocolate chip)
