MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Well it's a warm Christmas Day here in sunny Perth, and we are on our way to a traditional family BBQ followed my a swim in the pool to cool down.  The kids have opened there prezzies and the house looks slightly disheveled but that can wait till boxing day!

I would like to wish all of my friends and family a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

This is the card I will be delivering to my bestie today, it is also my very first Step Ladder card.  Every year we try to out WOW each other with our birthday and christmas creations and I think this time she might be slightly blown away as I had decided that if I as going to struggle through making this type of design for the first time I was definitely going to add all of the trimmings!!

I used two of my new Christmas digis from Tiddly Inks along with a free clip art tree, the sentiment is also a freebie from Pollycraft Designs.

Once I had the template worked out this card was a joy to decorate and hopefully it will be putting a huge smile on my besties face this Christmas.

Materials Used; Digis from Tiddly Inks & Pollycraft Designs, SU Season of Joy set, SU Riding Hood Red, Garden Green & Chocolate Chip Card stock, Kaiser Craft Christmas Carnival DP, Copic Caio markers, Kaiser Craft rhinestones, SU Rhinestone brad, snowflakes, Martha Stewart Crystal Glitter, button from my stash pile.

Best Friends....

Best Friends

This card was inspired by this weeks Scrappy Saturday Challenge (WMC16) over on the Wee Memories blog.  The challenge is to incorporate some chipboard into the design.  I have limited chipboard embellies in my stash but I do have a few packs of chipboard letters.  So here is my friendship easel card dedicated to my bestie.

The gorgeous little tree that I have incorporated is from Pollycraft Designs and the sentiment is from Kaiser Digital, just about everything else is on this card is from Stampin Up.

Material Used; SU Vintage Vogue stamp, Love Tree Digi from Pollycraft Designs, Copic Caio markers, SU Soft Suede, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry card stocks, SU Cottage Wall DP, SU Felt Flowers, SU Certainly Celery ribbon, SU Sparkle Brads, chipboard letters and pearls from Kaiser.

PS: Make sure you check out the wee Memories blog, it's well worth the visit.  This week Jenny is having a special giveaway to celebrate 300 followers, she is giving away $15 worth of Hero Art stamps to one of her followers, how groovy is that!

Other challenges entered:

Daring Cardmakers; It's A Girl Thing

Stampin' Sunday!

Some Vintage Vogue

I have been neglecting my Stampin' Up stamps of late, and since I am hosting an SU party for my bestie next month, I thought it was about time I got them out again. Don't get me wrong, I love my SU stuff, the papers, inks and embellies have been getting a good showing on my cards, but the stamps have been hidden away in a draw and forgotten about.

Today I am previewing two SU ONLY cards, one using an older set and the other (above) using my SU Vintage Vogue set for the first time.

On my Vintage Vogue card I have used Old Olive card stock with the Cottage Wall designer paper. On the stamps I have used my Elegant Eggplant and Always Artichoke inks.

Echoes of Kindness

This next card uses one of my older SU sets 'Echoes of Kindness'. I have again used some old olive for the card stock and layered it with some Rose Red designer series paper and a little Baja Breeze. The rose has been coloured with Ruby Red and Old Olive SU markers and the sentiment is from my SU 'Whimsical Words' set.

If you are in Western Australia and you are interested in Stampin Up please visit Kirsty's SU page and have a look around, she would be very happy to host a Stampin' Up party for you and your friends too.

FFF - Got Dessert Challenge

Got Dessert?

This weeks FFF challenge from TGF was to create a card using a dessert theme, so it was a perfect opportunity to use one of my new additions from the new 'Alice' inspired Creepy Cakes digi stamps from The Greeting Farm.

I have used the Queen; Royal Pain for this quirky card and have coloured her with my copics and added some Sakura Glaze to her hearts and red diamonte's to her crown.

She is layered using my nestabilities and the very royal looking background paper is from the Paper Chic range. The card has been finished with some Kaiser Kraft flowers, Red bow from my craft stash, SU Sparkle brads and SU ribbon. The sentiment is from my SU ' Three Little Words' set.

Freakalicious!

A Birthday Card for a Sweet Friend

I was sooooo excited when TGF released their set of Freakalicious stamps inspired by the new 'Alice in Wonderland' movie because it was in perfect timing with an upcoming birthday for a special friend.

I have used 'Freaky Flutter' for this card, I have coloured her with my copics and added some diamante's for some added sparkle. She is layered on some great matching papers that I found especially for this card.

The sentiment is from SU's 'Whimsical Words' (love this set) and the card has been finished with some extra diamonte's, Kaiser Kraft Flowers and SU Sparkle brads.

I soooo hope she likes it, now all I need is to get the cake ready for tomorrow!

FFF - Marie's CKG Colour Challenge

It's FFF Challenge time again at TGF!

This time TGF have given us a colour challenge using three colours from SU's colour palette, Chocolate Chip, Kraft and Groovy Guava. Unfortunately due the fact that the Groovy Guava was a In-Colour from 2007/2008 I no longer have any left so I replaced it with Cameo Coral instead.

I used TGF's Dressy Ebony and coloured her using my Copic and SU markers, I then used the sentiment from my new SU 'Whimsical Words' set and layered that on some Kraft, Cameo Coral and Whisper White card stock cut using my nestabilities. The layers underneath are made from some of the same colour stock plus some SU Designer Series papers. The card is finished with some crystal diamante, chocolate ribbon and a couple of buttons.

Apart from the fact that I could not make this using the colour Groovy Guava, I am still happy with the outcome.

i {HEART} you

Hello Ian

With all the fantastic sentiments I have just purchased from Squigglefly, I just had to make another Valentine. I used the very Sweet Hello Ian from TGF and coloured him with my copics and SU Markers, I also added some SU Sparkle to the inside of his sunflower.

He is on a layer of SU papers which I have used my nestabilities and I have torn the pattern paper for some added texture, and finished with the sentiment
i {HEART} you.
