For The Boys!

Rock'n with the Creeper Crew

This weeks FFF Challenge at the TGF Farm Fresh Challenge Blog is to create a card for the boys.  This is an easy one for me as I am out numbered by males in my house three to one unless I am allowed to count the pets, in which case we would be even!

I pulled out 'Tyler' for this one from my new TGF Creeper Crew Collection and I also finally got to use my Creeper Drummer digi.  I added the bands name to the drums; CJ and the Crew, CJ is my nephews nickname.  The sentiments and background stamps are a mix from the Creeper Crew and SU's Grunge Rock sets.

Materials Used;

Stamps from TGF and SU, Copic Caio markers, SU Kraft and basic black card stock, misc red card stock, musical paper from SU Newsprint DP collection, Kaiser Craft Rough n Tough DP, ribbon from my stash pile.

Happy New Year....

and a birthday too!

Happy New Year to all of my friends and family, I hope that 2011 brings you all that you desire.

While yesterday marked the end of 2010 it was also a day to celebrate our oldest son's birthday, Nicholas is a New Years baby and yesterday he turned 10, Happy Birthday son...

Nicholas is all things sporty but his passion is soccer, all he wanted for Christmas and his birthday was soccer boots, soccer goalie gloves, soccer clothes etc and he got his wish and then some.  He also got this soccer card from me and he says it's the best card ever!

I used a Kenny K Soccer image along with some digi papers and embellishments from my 'Playing The Field' pack by Designs by Robin.  The numbers have been sponged with SU Riding Hood red ink and then embossed to get the gloss look

Materials Used; Kenny K digi stamp, Playing The Field digi pack, Copic Caio markers, SU Basic Black, Riding Hood Red, Ballet Blue & Yo-yo Yellow card stock, Kaisercraft chipboard numbers, SU Riding Hood Red ink, embossing powder, Uniball white pen.

Our little champion

 Happy Birthday Jake!

It's our son's birthday next weekend, Jake will be turning 7!!  I have spent nearly the entire weekend getting things ready for his 'MONSTER Birthday Bash', he is having a Halloween themed birthday party with his friends here at home.  We have lots of spiders, cobwebs and scary candy for the loot bags, there will also we some slimy green goo with floating eye balls as part of the obstacle course that Jake has designed.

I have also finished his card, I stayed away from the monster theme for this as Jake had already asked for a basketball card for his big day, he loves to shoots hoops in the back yard or go down to the local court with his Dad and brother to play some ball.

Handy Dad's Birthday

Happy Birthday Dad!

Tomorrow marks my Dear Dad's 78th Birthday and this is the card I have made for this special occasion. I have used the new Handy Ian digi from TGF as he represents the memories I have of Dad as we were growing up.

Dad was not a handyman by trade but he was certainly handy around the house and has always had a unique way of fixing things. Still today when I visit him I will notice one of his special contraptions around his unit.

Dad has been known to make his own tap washers from drilled out coins, plastic bottle lids to cover a light switch which really does not need to be turned on; that's to save power! and other various ways to recycle everyday items into useful objects.

I have coloured Ian with my copics and given him grey hair, to be honest due to the age difference between my Mum and Dad I can only ever remember him with grey hair!

I am really happy with the way this card has turned out and I hope Dad just loves it too...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!

Meljens Designs Challenge

Challenge #4: For The Little Ones

This is the first design challenge that I have entered at Meljen's Design DT blog, but I don't think it will be the last as I have totally fallen in love with her images.

This challenge was too make a card for someone little, I used 'Cuddle Dragon' not just because it is well suited for a little ones birthday card, but he is just sooo darn cute!

I coloured the image with my copics and mounted him on some matching designer papers from 'Lili of the Valley' and Kaiser Craft La-Di-Da ranges and the card stock is SU Almost Amethyst and Rich Razzleberry.

I have finished the card with an SU sentiment from the 'Best Yet' set, some Grosgrain ribbon, a little bling and a craft number one rubbed with silver.

A cute little card for a child's first birthday!

Multi-Tasking!

Never leave things to the last minute!

Yesterday I woke up and realized what a busy day I had ahead of me. Apart from the washing and housework, I also had a few other things on the to-do list for the day, and they were all before 1pm!

My eldest son had his karate, I needed to go grocery shopping as the pantry was bare, and my youngest son was going to a friends birthday party. Eeek! What about the birthday card.

As I had promised the boys the night before a treat for breakfast I found myself baking pancakes while cooking up a birthday card, talk about multi-tasking!!

Was quite impressed with myself, the pancakes were delish and the card wasn't to much of a disaster either, we even made it to the birthday party on time!

Freakalicious!

A Birthday Card for a Sweet Friend

I was sooooo excited when TGF released their set of Freakalicious stamps inspired by the new 'Alice in Wonderland' movie because it was in perfect timing with an upcoming birthday for a special friend.

I have used 'Freaky Flutter' for this card, I have coloured her with my copics and added some diamante's for some added sparkle. She is layered on some great matching papers that I found especially for this card.

The sentiment is from SU's 'Whimsical Words' (love this set) and the card has been finished with some extra diamonte's, Kaiser Kraft Flowers and SU Sparkle brads.

I soooo hope she likes it, now all I need is to get the cake ready for tomorrow!
