Creeper Thursday

Give Some Attitude

My new Creeper Crew Thursday arrived in the mail last week from TGF so I just had to use her.  I came up with this birthday card with attitude.  I am looking forward to using Thursday on so many projects in the future she is such a cool chick!

Materials Used; TGF's CC Thursday and sentiment stamps, Copic Caio, SU Kraft, Pink Passion and Melon Moss card stocks, Diamond Glaze (Thursdays eyes, shoes & buttons), ribbon and stickers from my stash pile.

Challenges entered;

The Crazy Challenge; All About Birthdays

Ribbons and Flowers

Ribbon Challenge

Better late than never, this is my entry for Maire's Ribbons and Bows Monday Mania challenge at Club Anya.  I used my new Fleur Anya who arrived in a timely manner in my letterbox this week along with CC Thursday who's is on a card that I will post soon.

I wanted to make a simple card with Fleur so that she really popped on the card.  I used some strands of satin ribbon behind her to match the colours in the DP.  I quite like how this card has turned out considering how simple the layout is.

Material Used; Fleur Anya from TGF, sentiment stamp from SU, Copic Caio, SU Kraft and Melon Mambo card stock, My Memories DP, satin ribbons, Kindy Glitz, Kiaser rhinestones.

A Note of Thanks

Patience is a Virtue

For the last two weeks at work I have been in a training group getting some much needed upskilling for our new position.  The lovely lady who has been taking us through our new skills has the patience of a saint, so I have made this card for her from all of us.

Inspiration has come from the latest challenge at Meljens Designs, make an easel card,  and I have used one of her new releases; Penpal Mouse, which is just perfect for a thank you card, isn't he the cutest!  The sentiment is one I made up on the spot to go with him.

Material Used; Digi from Meljens Designs, Copic Caio markers, SU cardstock Basic Gray, Pixie Pink, Pretty in Pink, DP from Kaiser Craft Christmas Carnival Collection, plain notepad paper, binder punch, SU Fire Square rhinestone brads, Kaiser ribbon and flower from my stash pile.

Flash your FREEBIES! Part Two

think GREEN!
Part two of Pollycraft's Flash your Freebies challenge was to use the free digi we received by email and to think GREEN!  Awww! This pair of turtles are just adorable...

I am so excited, because now that I have made this card all I need to do is add the link and I will get a choice of any digi FREE from Pollycraft's shop, thanks to the wonderful generosity of Paula, how sweet a deal is that?

I am not to sure of my choice of colour, now that I look at the photo, for the little blue bird sitting on the fence (another free digi from Pollycraft) but overall I am happy with the way the rest of the card turned out.

Materials Used: digis from Pollycraft Designs, Copic Ciao, SU Old Olive card stock, DP from Kaiser Hey Birdie collection, Kaiser paper flowers, SU Certainly Celery ribbon, green brads from my stash pile.

Fly me too the moon...

Tonight I made my first ever moving card!  I searched for what I thought I was looking for as far as a tutorial went, but went completely blank on what the technique I had in mind was called, so I went with the same technique for making a spinner card that I had seen a while back.

This card is for my nieces new baby boy Tyson who was born this week and I though these digi's from Inktegrity where just perfect.

Materials Used; Inktegrity digi's, Copic Ciao markers, Sakura Glaze pens, SU Riding Hood Red cardstock, American Crafts DP, buttons and ribbon from my stash pile, two Aussie 5c coins for the spinner.

Forget Princess

Once upon a time....

Once upon a time there lived a young girl named Jade and as much as her mother tried Jade refused to dress in her prettiest gowns to attend the Princes ball because Jade dreamed of being a vampire instead!

What can I say, I'm not a Princess kinda gal!

This card was inspired by this weeks Monday Mania challenge at Club Anya to celebrate Berenice's birthday.

The challenge: to create a card with a sparkly princess party theme in honor of her birthday.

So here is Jade in her sparkly crown and her favorite threads, ready to meet her PRINCE...

...her Prince of Darkness that is!

Materials Used: Jade stamp from TGF, Copic Ciao markers, SU Basic Black, Basic Grey and Melon Mambo card stock, DP from Adorn Its' Princess Collection, Cuttlebug Script embossing folder, chipboard crown, Tattered Angels Pink Taffy Glimmer Mist, Sakura embossing pens, Kaisercraft rhinestones.

Twi Hard

A Full Moon

I am a huge Twi fan, but have not yet been able to see Eclipse on the big screen due to my son being unwell. To compensate for this I have been re-reading my book instead and this is how the inspiration for this card came about.

As soon as I saw the sketch at Club Anya I thought of the full-moon which of course led straight to werewolves then vampires then Eclipse! The sketch is for the first Saturday Sketch challenge for the month of July so a prize it up for grabs! This card has also been entered on the Anya Ink challenge blog; Challenge #4 Create A Scene and Anyone for Anya; Anything Goes.

Materials Used; Twilight digis from TGF, SU Basic Grey, Basic Black and Real Red card stocks, DP from Basic Grey, Copic Ciao markers, glitter pens, Cuttlebug Script embossing folder, ribbon, brad, chain, heart, werewolf charm and rhinestone all from the stash pile.

Red, White and Blue

Red, White and Blue

Challenge # 11 at Tiddly Inks must use the colours red, white and blue. I chose to use my newest freebie from Tiddly Inks ( thanks so much ) for this challenge and incorporated the colours into her kimono and then used paper and embellies to match.

I have also entered this card in two other patriotic challenges at Meljens Designs and also Pixie Dust Studios.

Materials Used; Tiddly Inks Digi, Copic Ciao markers, SU Real Red and Basic Black card stock, other DP, Kaiser paper flowers, brad and ribbon from the stash pile.

I tried the shiny black hair technique after watching Lysa's awesome tutorial on the Tiddly Inks blog, but I definitely need some more practice with this as I just seemed to end up with stripey hair!

A Summer in Stitches

A Summer Challenge in Stitches

This is my entry for the latest CCEE Stampers Challenge; It's Summer Time (CCEE1025) and FFF at Splendid Stamping; Sew Random

It is currently winter here in sunny Australia, and we are having record lows here in Perth where we are waking up to frost in the mornings, we are definitely not used to it being this cold at all. The kids are having a ball though and are very excited to see white grass and ice on the car windows.

It was great to make a summery card to warm up the hands.

Materials Used; Nahla from TGF, SU sentiment stamp,
SU Riding Hood Red and card stock, DP from SU, Hey Foxy by imaginisce and from the Hey Birdie range by Kaiser Craft, SU sentiment stamp, Sakura Glaze pens, SU Flower Brad, SU Ribbon, Kaiser Stitching Rub Ons, button and paper flowers from the stash pile.
