i {HEART} you

Hello Ian

With all the fantastic sentiments I have just purchased from Squigglefly, I just had to make another Valentine. I used the very Sweet Hello Ian from TGF and coloured him with my copics and SU Markers, I also added some SU Sparkle to the inside of his sunflower.

He is on a layer of SU papers which I have used my nestabilities and I have torn the pattern paper for some added texture, and finished with the sentiment
i {HEART} you.

Give Me Lots of CHOCOLATE!

Forget LOVE I'd rather fall in CHOCOLATE!

Still in the stampin' mood, here is Joyce from the Greeting Farm, and she is looking very pretty in pink on a chocolate background. Finished with a gorgeous pink and chocolate ribbon and some SU felt flowers with a pink crystal brad. The fantastic sentiment is from Squigglefly.

In the Twilight Mood

Jacob and Bella

I had soooo much fun making the Monochromatic card for the FFF challenge that it put me in the mood for making another. This time though I replaced Edward with Jacob so he wasn't left out. I used my copics to colour the digi's, using blue as the focal colour (Edward's fav colour for Bella), I carried on with the same colour with the ribbon and mixed blues and blacks in my paper choices. The card is finished with one the sentiment 'LOVE stories NEVER have endings' with a silk flower and crystal SU brad.

FFF - Monochromatic Challenge

The Challenge

This week for Splendid Stamping's Farm Fresh Friday challenge we have been asked to create a MONOCHROMATIC card. The rules are that we can colour the image, but the card stock, embellishments etc and the main image panel may be white or cream but the rest should be from colour family.

This is what I came up with and I really like the timeless look of this card. I have used the Dressy Edward and Camille digis and coloured them with my copics and SU markers, the idea was to use only a colour that would really stand out but still be classic, so I chose Ruby Red for Camille's dress and shoes and also for Ed's tie.

I then chalked the edges of the background with the black from my SU pastels and added the Rub-On from Kaisercraft's basic range. I then set this on a backdrop made of a mix of black and grey papers and finished the card off with some black satin ribbon, black silk flowers and a crystal and silver brad also from Kaisercraft.

All in all I am quite happy the way the card turned out, although I still need to perfect my skin colouring a little!

CHA Relay Contest Day 4 - Prince Ian

Prince Ian

Prince Ian is patiently waiting for his Princess to join him at the castle.

Made with elegant eggplant and always artichoke su papers, Ian and the castle are coloured using copic and SU markers. I have added a lili if the valley diecut and finished with a Kaisercraft button and brads. Extra details on the castle have been made using Sakura glaze pens.

CHA Relay Contest Day 3 - Toby

Baby Tabitha

Introducing Toby's twin sister Tabitha

Isn't she adorable!

I have coloured her using a mix of copics and SU markers and I especially loved being able to use this gorgeous paper. I have added some extra detail by embossing over some of Tabitha's features and the butterfly with Sakura Glaze pens. The card has then been finished off with the Kaisercraft ribbon and pink dew drops.

CHA Relay Contest Day 2 - Charlotte

YOU GO GIRL!!

Charlotte is gorgeous and she knows it!

I have coloured her using a mix of copics and SU markers, I had fun choosing this mix of colours and matching her headband to the papers. I added a wee bit of SU sparkle to her tiny shoes and belt and finished off her scarf with a pink diamonte.

The card is finished with an SU sentiment which I have distressed, chocolate chip ribbon and SU felt flowers.

CHA Relay Contest Day 1 - Mer-Man Ian

Mer-Man Ian

What Mermaid could ignore him?

This is the card I made for Day One of the Challenge, (already over but felt he deserved to go here too!).

He is coloured with copics on a layered sea floor scene. The background is lightly chalked in a sea blue. I have used a mix of pixie pink and teal blue papers and have finished it off with some faux pearls.

My New Blog

Now I have been meaning to do this for a long.... long.... time, but when I woke up this morning, on an overcast Australia Day, I certainly had my behind kicked in to gear when I read the lastest post on my favourite blog!

Due to technical difficulties (or maybe we have all just overloaded the page) the Greeting Farm and their Galleria are down right in the middle of one of the biggest contests they have ever had.

To cut a long story short if I want to enter my cards in the contest they are best viewed on my blog, so here it is!!

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!!
