Say What?

say what?

Today I am home sick from work, feeling like I am going to cough up a lung before lunch! I have tried resting in bed but when I lie down it just seems to make it worse, so today I will rest in my craft room and try and keep a steady hand while I colour, (easier said than done!)

I used this weeks WCW challenge at Club Anya for my inspiration, that was sorely lacking, to make my latest card. The other inspiration came from my six tear old Jake, who just loves to shoot hoops! I think he is going to be very excited to see this card when he comes home from school this afternoon.

For my little basket-baller character have used Dylan but he has Jeremy's hairstyle (to look more like Jake), these are both from my TGF Roll Call set along with that cute little sentiment. I found the basketball clip art on the web and have coloured it and then added texture with the cuttlebug. I am quite happy the way this card has worked out considering how I am feeling today.

Material Used: Copic Ciao markers, Roll Call Stamps; Jeremy, Dylan and sentiment, SU Real Red and Basic Black card stock, Making Memories DP, Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing plate, Sakura Embossing pen red and silver glitter pen, other DP paper and brads from the stash pile.

Spring into Spring for Mother's Day

Spring-time fun...

It is raining here in Perth, as it is autumn in Australia not spring, but at least I can imagine that the sun is still shining outside!

I made this card for a colleague of mine who requested one for her Mum for Mother's Day which is next weekend. It also suits the latest WCW challenge over at Club Anya so I have entered it for the 'Spring in to WCW' challenge.

I used Sassenach Anya and coloured her with my copics, she is layered on some of the gorgeous new designer papers from Stampin Up's Autumn/Winter 2010 mini. I have used my nesties for the tiny butterflies and my Fiskars Lace Edge punch. The sentiment is from SU's Wagon Full Of Fun set.

I have a busy day ahead of me tomorrow, with a card to finish for my Dad's birthday, two more for Mother's Day plus a couple of loads of washing..... wish me luck!

Punk It Up!!

Let's PUNK it UP!!

Another great challenge from the Club Anya blog this week see's us all PUNKING it up!

I got very excited about this one and jumped into my craft room straight after reading the post and this is what I walked out with. I used Ebony, a digi from TGF, as she is such a sweet little punk, and fun to colour. I have used my copics to colour the image and gave her some wild green and purple locks with some black streaks, I have given her matching eyeshadow. I have used some Sakura black glaze on her headband and on the skulls eyes.

The designer paper for the background is from a Kaiser Kraft digi set, and I crumpled it to give it a rougher texture.

Now for the fun part, I have a huge stash of stuff around the house to raid, so I was very excited as I dug through the boxes and found what I needed, silver chain, various beads to hang from it and even a rubber ducky paperclip. I stapled the sentiment together, and attached the chain with its adornments with some brads!!

I was super-excited once this card was finished, now all I need is for the Galleria to be back up and running so I can post it for this weeks WCW challenge!

WCW - Put a Hole in It!

Another Challenge

This week at Club Anya the challenge was to make a card with a hole in it.......

A perfect chance for me to use my new Butterfly Nestabilities Set that had finally arrived in the mail. I already had the perfect stamp in mind to use with it once I had then in my hot little hands so this challenge gave me the inspiration I needed to get it done!

I used Creepy Cakes; Freaky Flutter to go on this card because of her tiny wee butterflys, I used my copics to color and placed her over my butterfly aperture that I had made using three layers of SU papers. I then added some more butterflys in different sizes and designs and finished off the card by adding some diamante to the largest of the Butterflies and also to the the ribbon in Flutter's hair.
